چکیده

The half-metallicity and the stability of the ferromagnetic state have been investigated in the Heusler type alloys (Fe1 xCox)2CrZ (Z 1⁄4 s, p elements). If only the ferromagnetic state is assumed as the magnetic state of Fe2CrZ, the half-metallicity tends to appear easily as the total number of the valence electrons and the lattice constant decrease. Taking the paramagnetic and the antiferromagnetic state into account, it is predicted that Fe2CrSi and Fe2CrP may be half-metals among Fe2CrZ. However, if the Co atoms are partially substituted for the Fe atoms in Fe2CrZ (Z 1⁄4 Al, Si, P, Ge, Sn), the ferromagnetic state tends to become more stable as the Co composition increases, without losing the halfmetallicity. These results suggest that partial substitution of the Co atoms for the Fe atoms is effective in improving the properties as spintronic materials in Fe2CrZ. [doi:10.2320/matertrans.48.748]

Spin Susceptibility, Phase Diagram, and Quantum Criticality in the Eelctron-Doped High T_{\scale70%\text{c}} Superconductor Ba(Fe_{1-x}Co_{x})_{2}As_{2}

We report a systematic investigation of Ba(Fe1 xCox)2As2 based on transport and As NMR measurements, and establish the electronic phase diagram. We demonstrate that doping progressively suppresses the uniform spin susceptibility and low frequency spin fluctuations. The optimum superconducting phase emerges at xc ’ 0:08 when the tendency toward spin ordering completely diminishes. Our findings p...

New type of stable particlelike states in chiral magnets.

We present a new type of thermodynamically stable magnetic state at interfaces and surfaces of chiral magnets. The state is a soliton solution of micromagnetic equations localized in all three dimensions near a boundary, and it contains a singularity but nevertheless has finite energy. Both features combine to form a quasiparticle state for which we expect unusual transport and dynamical proper...

Effect of disorder on the resistivity anisotropy near the electronic nematic phase transition in pure and electron-doped BaFe(2)As(2).

We show that the strain-induced resistivity anisotropy in the tetragonal state of the representative underdoped Fe arsenides BaFe_{2}As_{2}, Ba(Fe_{1-x}Co_{x})_{2}As_{2} and Ba(Fe_{1-x}Ni_{x})_{2}As_{2} is independent of disorder over a wide range of defect and impurity concentrations. This result demonstrates that the anisotropy in the in-plane resistivity in the paramagnetic orthorhombic stat...

Metal-Free Half-Metallicity in B-Doped gh-C3N4 Systems

Half-metallicity rising from the s/p electrons has been one of the hot topics in spintronics. Based on the first-principles of calculation, we explore the magnetic properties of the B-doped graphitic heptazine carbon nitride (gh-C3N4) system. Ferromagnetism is observed in the B-doped gh-C3N4 system. Interestingly, its ground state phase (BC1@gh-C3N4) presents a strong half-metal property. Furth...
